About This Workshop
Embrace the joy of creativity and explore the beauty of nature with Cathy as she guides you through her unique process of creating engaging mixed media art. Together, we’ll create two colorful projects: vibrant, layered paintings of playful blooms and whimsical animals that will spark your imagination and bring out your inner child.
In our floral paintings, you’ll learn my signature techniques for layering, color mixing, and finding beauty in imperfection as we celebrate the magic of flowers. For the animal portraits, we’ll dive into a playful process of improvisation, tapping into your inner child to create charming, personality-filled creatures. Both projects are designed to nurture your creativity, help you embrace imperfection, and deepen your connection to your art.

About Cathy Nichols
Cathy Nichols is an artist, teacher, and author of the book Storytelling Art Studio. She also created and guides her two core online courses, Create Your Own Oracle Deck, and Painting Modern Expressive Flowers, as well as her monthly painting club, Joy of Painting. Her home and workshop are in Asheville, North Carolina.
